It wasn't normal. It was Shaq. Youth these days think Shaq is just some jokester during halftime on TNT, but Shaq was by far the most dominant player I've ever seen play. Unfortunately, he was pretty lazy as well, but his first decade when he stayed in shape he was legit unguardable. On top of that teams would routinely lose to his teams because they were forced to rely on outside shooting. Yea that last part was one underrated aspect about Shaq. He was not only freakin huge, but he would let you know it if you came down the lane because he'd hit you hard. Some players wouldn't challenge him again after that. He's really one of the few NBA players I've ever seen whose off-court personality didn't match his on-court one at all. Like he was definitely a huge jokester in the locker room, but once he got in the game dude was like a different person. No more joking and just intense AF.
