Common Application（通用申請），簡稱 Common App，是美國大學本科入學網上申請的一站式網站，適用於包括哈佛，耶魯，普林斯頓等名校在內的美國大學。
作為美國本科申請的主流平臺，每年，Common Application 都會針對大學申請的各種新趨勢和需求進行功能上的升級。
今年 Common App 在昨天完成瞭功能更新，各位同學在今天就可以開始使用起來啦 ~
具體有哪些新功能？
作為申請者，我們又該如何應對這些改進呢？
自主提交課程和成績單
這項功能與大傢息息相關，雖然今年隻有 7 個學校正式接受學生自主提交課程與成績單，但如果未來 " 自主提交課程和成績單 " 功能被更多大學所接受，那將大大減少學生在郵寄紙質成績單到學校的過程中造成成績單丟失或者推遲的可能。
學生們可以不用操心這些繁雜的手續，而能更專註於完善自己的申請內容。對於大學招生辦來說，學生的成績呈現形式更統一，一目瞭然。
這項功能對國際學生會有很大的幫助，因為這會極大地避免國際學生提交格式不正確的成績單。
今年有 7 所院校正式接受學生自主提交課程與成績單：
文書上傳形式與 Google Drive 的兼容整合
學生可以輕松地使用自己的 Google Drive 便捷地上傳文檔、簡歷和學校作業及其他學校要求的材料到 Common App 上。
這是 CAAS 的 " 優化版 "，但是對於在國內的同學可能沒有太大的幫助。
導師和推薦人板塊升級
過去，學生在 Common App 中隻能邀請自己在校申請顧問、老師（School-based Counselors and teachers）來輔導申請，但是現在，學生可以邀請校外資源來幫助自己的申請，比如校外的申請顧問、獨立咨詢顧問及社區組織 CBO（Community-Based Organizations）。
這些人和校內升學顧問一樣，能夠在 Common App 中直接管理、查看學生申請進度。
新增西班牙語資源
為那些以西班牙語為母語的學生、傢長和咨詢顧問更好的理解和使用 CA 系統，Common App 增加的西班牙翻譯。
新增成員院校
Common App 會員學校來自美國 49 個州，17 個國傢，包括 130 多所公立大學。
2017-18 學年，將有 740+ 所大學使用 Common App 進行招生錄取。以下是新增成員校名單：

大傢最最最關心的文書部分，從原來的 5 個題目增加到瞭 7 個題目，大傢的選擇更多瞭，原來的 5 個題目中，也有 3 個題目有改動，而字數限制還是 650 字不變。文書題目：
1. [ No change ] Some students have a background, identity, interest, or talent that is so meaningful they believe their application would be incomplete without it. If this sounds like you, then please share your story.
